Issues of "green" development and renewable energy discussed in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 September 2022, a partner conference "Huawei FusionSolar Partner Conference 2022" was held in Tashkent on the development of "green" energy in Uzbekistan through the widespread introduction of renewable energy sources (RES).

To promote green development issues and curb climate change processes, the government of Uzbekistan within the framework of participation in the 26th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Glasgow, made a statement regarding the readiness to take all necessary measures to improve the energy efficiency of the economy and increase the share of renewable energy to at least 25%, as well as to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Following the set goals, on 10 June 2022, during a video conference on renewable energy, the President of Uzbekistan announced a new system of support for the population and entrepreneurs using renewable energy.

In response to the measures taken in the Republic, Huawei continues to innovate and cooperate with local partners to provide clean, renewable energy solutions to accelerate low-carbon development and bring about a smarter green life in the country. In order to share experiences, strengthen the ecosystem and create a platform for discussing the integration of digital technologies, cloud computing and artificial intelligence in the energy sector, Huawei, together with the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, held a conference on the generation of green electricity for the benefit of all industries and residents Uzbekistan.

“Today we have gathered to discuss the benefits of introducing renewable energy sources into the country’s economy, especially focusing on the development of solar energy. The potential for the development of solar energy in Uzbekistan is huge and its full disclosure will help the state accelerate the transformation and digitalization of the economy, - said Xu Hai, CEO of the Huawei Digital Power Eurasia division during his welcoming speech, -

Photovoltaic Solutions for large power plants, for the commercial and industrial sectors and for the residential solar power market will accelerate the transition to green smart solutions as the main source of energy for every home and organization. Given the ubiquity of solar technologies in various sectors of the economy, the cost of solar electricity production is reduced due to the efforts of the entire industry. This makes solar energy the first renewable source to achieve grid parity.”

Xu Hai also added that Huawei hopes to bring together all partners to create a solar energy ecosystem in Uzbekistan, including not only sales, service and solution partners, but also industry standards development organizations, investment and financing partners, and talent training .

During the conference, welcoming speeches and presentations were made by ecosystem partners in the development of renewable energy sources in Uzbekistan, including the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association Abror Boev, as well as representatives of Photomate, Sun High-Tech, Solar Nature, SEPCOIII.
