Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by the head of the mission for Uzbekistan Yasser Abdih.

A thorough exchange of views touched upon the development of the global economic situation, current integration processes, and the development of trade and investment.

Also, issues of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the IMF, including through technical assistance, were considered.

Representatives of the IMF highly appreciated the results of the ongoing program of irreversible reforms in Uzbekistan and expressed their readiness to continue close cooperation to improve the investment climate and develop trade.
