Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 March, the Ministry of Economy and Finance was visited by a delegation consisting of representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Minister of Economy and Finance Sherzod Kudbiyev received UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovska.

At the meeting, issues of active assistance to the reforms of the government of Uzbekistan in the socio-economic sphere within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Program for 2021-2025 were discussed.

In particular, the programs were touched upon currently being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan “financing sustainable development in Uzbekistan”, “improving and implementing insurance and risk financing in Uzbekistan”, “sustainable development goals”, “supporting youth for development digital economy and digital entrepreneurship”, BIOFIN initiative, “Green Economy”, in the field of finance (open budget, program budget, green bonds, Islamic finance), initiatives and projects dedicated to gender issues.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on mutual interest in cooperation, as well as on the further continuation of promising projects in the above areas.
