Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 October a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan D. Vahabov and the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Uzbekistan Reinis Trokša.

The meeting was also attended by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Latvia N. Šmits, the Director General of the Latvian Food and Veterinary Service M. Balodis and business circles of the Republic of Latvia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of establishing and strengthening bilateral cooperation, including expanding cooperation in the food industry.

D. Vahabov also invited the Latvian side to consider the possibility of Latvian entrepreneurs participating in Uzbek food exhibitions and conducting further online negotiations with members of the Latvian delegation in order to provide timely assistance in solving problems arising on the path of Uzbek-Latvian cooperation.
