Issues of digital labeling of water and soft drinks discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 30 March, Tashkent, on the initiative of CRPT Turon LLC, the operator of the National Information System for Monitoring Labeling and Tracking Asl Belgisi products, is hosting a seminar on the topic: “Digital marking of water and soft drinks in the Republic of Uzbekistan".

Representatives of the State Tax Committee, leading bottled water and beverage companies, integrator companies providing labeling solutions, journalists, as well as employees of the Digital Labeling Operator CRPT Turon LLC take part in the Seminar.

The main goal of the event is to help manufacturing companies prepare for the start of mandatory labeling of water and soft drinks from 1 July 2023, to talk about the rules for digital labeling, to introduce technical solutions and provide recommendations for further actions.

Within the framework of the event, presentations from the participants of the seminar, discussions of accumulated issues, B2B meetings are held.

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved the procedure for mandatory labeling of bottled water and soft drinks. The labeling requirement will come into force for both local producers and importers, namely:

for the first group (carbonated or non-carbonated water, drinks, as well as non-fermented sweetened fruit and vegetable juices, except for grape) - from 1 July 2023;

for the second group (water and drinks in metal containers) - from 1 August 2024.

Beverage producers must sign contracts for the supply of the necessary labeling equipment at least three months before the start of the process.

The operator of the CRPT Turon system will provide free labeling codes for non-carbonated water, which is produced on the territory of Uzbekistan, in bottles up to 0.5 liters.
