Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with representatives of the delegation headed by Juan Miguel Marquez, trade attaché of the Spanish Embassy, where issues of developing trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Spain were discussed.

The meeting reviewed the current state of trade and economic relations between Spain and Uzbekistan and the development of mutual cooperation in the future, as well as the organization in Tashkent in March of this year of the Uzbek-Spanish business forum and B2B meetings with the participation of business circles of the two countries.

Particular attention in the upcoming joint business forum will be paid to establishing cooperation in the sectors of food, textile, leather and footwear, agriculture, technologies for the rational use of water and energy resources and tourism. The parties also agreed to pay more attention to the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the field of information technology and the implementation of additional projects.

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the continuation of mutual cooperation in terms of organizing the expected business forum.
