Issues of cooperation with Uzbekistan in the trade, economic and tourism sphere were discussed in Guangzhou

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held in the Chinese province of Guangzhou with the head of the Guangdong Union for Cooperation with the CIS Guo Fengzhi, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, the current interaction was discussed and prospects for bilateral trade and economic cooperation and tourism development were identified.

Guo Fengzhi noted that in recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and China have risen to a qualitatively new level. There is a gradual increase in trade turnover.

An agreement was reached to hold a presentation of Uzbekistan’s export fruit and vegetable products to the Chinese market at the end of October for representatives of large Chinese importing associations, business circles and enterprises interested in importing.

The possibilities of opening a showroom for products of Uzbek manufacturers, exporters and domestic artisans in Guangzhou were discussed.

The parties also agreed to hold a business forum with the participation of representatives of Uzbek and Chinese business circles.

In order to implement new joint projects and get acquainted with the investment opportunities created in our country, the parties agreed to organize a visit of Chinese businessmen to Uzbekistan at the beginning of next year.

Also, ways of interaction in the field of development of the tourism industry were discussed, it was proposed to intensify cooperation in the field of tourism, jointly develop and promote the Silk Road tourism brand. Detailed information is provided on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, as well as the transformations carried out in Samarkand in this direction.

“We and our enterprises see great potential and an opportunity for the development of trade and the implementation of joint projects with Uzbekistan,” said Guo Fengzhi.
