Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 August, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev received the Chairman of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund Aziz Aaliev.

The Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund opened on 14 April 2021. The priority task of the Fund’s activities is to promote economic cooperation between the two states by financing promising highly profitable joint investment projects in priority sectors.

The agenda of the meeting included issues of the Fund’s operational activities, discussion of the results of the work done for the reporting period, as well as the most priority areas for investing the Fund’s funds in the near future.

The projects proposed for consideration by the Council of the Fund were studied in detail, taking into account the criteria for their economic and social significance, profitability and timing of implementation. In particular, projects in the field of development of transport infrastructure, as well as the creation of border trade and logistics centers were considered.

The task was set to intensify work on the formation of the investment portfolio of the Fund and the preparation of the necessary documentation in order to move on to the practical implementation of projects as soon as possible.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a meeting of the Board of the Fund in the near future, at which it is planned to consider and approve a number of documents related to its further operating and investment activities.
