Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government resolution approved the Administrative Regulations for the provision of public services for the issuance of a sports passport to athletes.

Accordingly, a sports passport is issued to an athlete who has a rank not lower than the second youth sports rank, who regularly goes in for the relevant sport (one or more) and regularly participates in sports competitions.

The public service is provided by the authorized body (Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports) through public service centers or my.gov.uz. For athletes under the age of 16, their parents or legal representatives apply.The passport is valid for 5 years and is used for the following purposes:

- when transferring from one educational and sports organization to another;

- when registering for participation in sports competitions;

- when passing a medical examination;

- when fulfilling the norms and requirements necessary for obtaining sports titles and sports categories;

- in other cases stipulated by legislative acts.

When submitting an application through the my.gov.uz, the applicant is charged a fee of 1/6 size of basic estimate value (55 thousand soums).

At the same time, 50 percent of the amount of the fee is charged from persons registered in the Unified Register of Social Protection information system, as well as those with I and II disability groups.
