The event is organized by Women’s Council, National Breast Cancer Association “In the Name of Life” and Medical-Rehabilitation Center Salus Vita.

Within the project, Professor Ofer Lavi, director on Institute for Gynecologic Oncology, will hold presentation “National project on genetic map of predisposition of women in Uzbekistan to breast cancer” for the Uzbek specialists.

He will present results of unique project for Central Asia and brief about researches, which was held by National Breast Cancer Association “In the Name of Life” and Medical Center Horev during eight months and covered almost all regions of Uzbekistan.

Professor Arie Bitterman, director of Institute of Suregeon Oncology of Breast Cancer, will give master class on surgery of breast cancer.

Mammalogist and gynaecologist will examine 15 women, who were diagnosed for breast cancer within free women diagnosis campaign in Tashkent from 20 September to 2 October 2011.

The campaign on free diagnosis of women for breast cancer is taking place in all regions of Uzbekistan from October to December to reveal breast cancer in early stage and raise awareness of women. So far, some 2,276 women underwent diagnosis in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm regions and Tashkent city.
