The instructors o­n hospital nurses from Israel has ended the three-week training courses for medical workers in Karakalpakstan, which has been held in May this year in the city of Nukus, the Israeli Embassy in Tashkent news release said.

The release said the thirty-five medical nurses from throughout Karakalpakstan participated in the training courses. It has been organized within the framework of the joint project o­n raising the role of the hospital nurses of the Health Ministry of Uzbekistan, Israeli Embassy and Israel center for international cooperation "MASHAV".

The course is reported to have included several professional seminars, visits to the local rural medical stations and summary conference.

The Joint Program on raising the role of the hospital nurses has been started seven years ago in the Ferghana, Andijan and Namangan Regions. Later it had involved the medical facilities in the Tashkent, Navoi, Bukhara and Khorezm regions. The work o­n expanding the project to Karshi and Termez started following the training courses in Karakalpakstan.

396 hospital nurses from 511, who have participated in this program, are reported to have gone through the training in Israel.
