Israel invests over US$400m in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Israel invested over US$400 million soums into economy of Uzbekistan, Uzbek Ambassador to Israel Oybek Eshonov said at the reception dedicated to the Independence Day of Uzbekistan, 12.uz reported.

Uzbek envoy said Uzbekistan considers as important economic partner, in particular in such sectors as oil and gas, agriculture and tourism.

Eshonov noted that trade potential of two countries was not exhausted.

According to the statistics of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between two states dropped from US$30.6 million in the first half of 2008 to US$15.9 million in the same period of 2009.
