Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar.

During the conversation, the efforts of Uzbekistan and Turkey to resolve the Afghan crisis, priority areas of Uzbek-Turkish interaction in the joint implementation of various projects in Afghanistan were discussed.

The Turkish side expressed its readiness to continue to actively contribute to the establishment of a long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.

The sides also had a thorough exchange of views on the further development of the situation in Afghanistan and the efforts of the international community to advance the inter-Afghan negotiation process.
