Speaking at the official receipt dedicated to the Independence Day of Uzbekistan, Abid Sharifov announced about upcoming visit of Islam Karimov to Baku.

He said that the Uzbek leader can participate at the session of the Uzbek-Azeri intergovernmental commission on cooperation. The session will be held in Baku in October 2012.

Abid Sharifov said that the session of the commission and expected visit of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to Azerbaijan will contribute to strengthening and developing bilateral ties.
