In his message to President of Germany Mr. Christian Wulff, Uzbek President said: “Uzbekistan considers Germany a reliable and priority partner in Europe, with longer-term and multifarious relations.”

“I feel convinced that the constructive and mutually advantageous Uzbek-German cooperation will steadily consolidate in the forthcoming year in the interests of our two nations,” the message reads.

“Allow me to wish You and Your family a sound health, every success and happiness, along with wellness and prosperity to the entire people of Germany,” he said.

In his congratulation letter to Chancellor Angela Merkel, Islam Karimov said Uzbekistan highly appreciates the dynamic and consistent development of multifaceted friendly relations between two countries built on principles of mutual understanding and respect, and Uzbekistan is willing to continue with constructive and rewarding cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany to further shared interests.

“Taking this pleasant opportunity, I would like to wish a robust health, wellbeing and happiness to You as well as progress and prosperity to the entire people of Germany,” the message concludes.
