The convention on avoiding double taxation and preventing evasion from payment of income and property taxes between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Ireland was signed in Dublin on 11 July 2012.

The document was inked within the visit of the chairperson of State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan Botir Parpiev to Dublin. The visit took place on 8-13 July 2012 at invitation of the Ireland Finance Minister. Uzbekistan became the first Central Asian nation, which signed such document with Ireland.

Uzbek leader entrusted Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan to direct notification to Irish side on execution of inter-state procedures by Uzbekistan, which are necessary to entrance of the document into force.
