During the meeting, the two sides called for expansion of bilateral ties in all arenas.
Referring to the ninth Tehran-Tashkent Joint Economic Commission session held recently in Tashkent, Ganiev expressed hope that the level of the two countries’ ties would be upgraded more than before.
Pointing to the deep-rooted Iran-Uzbekistan cultural, religious and historical commonalities, the Uzbek minister stated that both sides should leave no stone unturned in boosting mutual interests, the report said
The Iranian envoy, for his part, expressed Iran’s willingness for expansion of mutual cooperation in economic and trade fields.
"Holding of the two countries’ joint economic commission sessions is also a good opportunity for following up implementation of previously-signed accords and surveying new ways for broadening of Iran-Uzbekistan cooperation," Keshavarz-Zadeh said.
