Mehdi Ghazanfari made the remark while addressing tenth meeting of Iran-Uzbekistan economic commission that started on 17 January 2010, IRNA reported.
Ghazanfari said both private and public sectors in the two countries should make serious efforts to promote trade exchange.
About the meeting, the Iranian minister said the two-day economic talks would pave ways for promotion of industrial and trade relations. Holding joint economic meetings would have great impact on fostering bilateral cooperation, he noted. He also hoped the meeting would bring about agreements on transit.
Vice Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev arrived in Tehran to take part in he work of the commission.
