Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Iran’s Armed Forces have launched a large-scale military operation against Israel, retaliating for recent airstrikes on the territory of the Islamic Republic, according to state broadcaster Al Alam.

As reported by the IRNA news agency, the operation has been named “Severe Punishment”. In the initial wave of the response, hundreds of ballistic missiles were launched targeting locations inside Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the missile launches from Iranian territory, with air raid sirens sounding in multiple areas of the country, including Tel Aviv.
