Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ipoteka-Bank and Al Qalsem Sea Global Co. Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement.

According to the press service of the bank, representatives of Ipoteka-Bank met with the head of Al Qalsem Sea Global Co. Ltd Salih bin Salim Bahwini (Saudi Arabia).

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in attracting direct investments in the fish industry, issues of promoting development and mastering of new technologies for processing fish products (cleaning, cooling, freezing, drying, filleting and canning), building hatchery workshops and hatcheries.

Also, during the talks, the parties highlighted the favorable investment climate in the country and the great opportunities for foreign investors.

The meeting served as a platform for the implementation of measures to attract direct investment in the field, the effective use of existing water bodies, the creation of fish hatcheries, the cultivation of fish based on intensive technologies, as well as the strengthening of the feed base.

Today, more than 3,852 fish farms operate in the territory of Uzbekistan, of which 3,834 farms are active clients of the bank. From 2017 to the present, the Bank has financed 1,521 projects to create, expand and upgrade fish farms, introduce intensive technologies and advanced foreign experience, increase the volume, process and store fish products produced in the country. For these purposes, the bank sent financial resources for 517 billion soums.
