Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to accelerate the production of renewable energy devices" was adopted.

In accordance with the document:

an address list of investment projects for the production of solar water heaters and solar photovoltaic panels was approved within the framework of the Solar cluster;

land plots allocated for these investment projects in the territory of the FEZ "Chirokchi" (Kashkadarya region) are provided through online auctions with a starting price of 10% of the approved starting prices;

design and acquisition of alternative energy devices by ministries, departments, local authorities and large industrial enterprises is carried out through the public procurement portal by selecting the best offers from domestic manufacturers with the conclusion of futures contracts without prepayment.

A futures contract is an agreement under which the seller undertakes to deliver a commodity (asset) at a price determined at the time of the transaction.

The list of investment projects includes five companies, the total cost of projects is estimated at US$38.7 million. As part of the projects, it is planned to create 500 jobs.
