Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy in China and the representative office of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan held a forum in the Chinese province of Shandong on the topic "Prospects for cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Shandong province in terms of investment, industry, trade and tourism."

Representatives of large companies of the region, tour operators, potential investors and representatives of Chinese business circles took part in the forum, Dunyo reports.

The participants of the event were provided with detailed information about the wide opportunities created for investors in Uzbekistan, about the ongoing reforms to further improve business performance.

A presentation and videos about attractive tourist opportunities, the beauties of ancient cities, and unique sights of Uzbekistan were also shown.

Within the framework of the forum, meetings and negotiations were held with the leaders and representatives of a number of large companies in the province. The heads of Chinese companies noted that favorable conditions have been created for investors in Uzbekistan and expressed their readiness to implement investment projects in Uzbekistan.

Shandong is the third largest economically developed province in China with a GDP of US$1.3 trillion in 2022. Last year, the province ranked 15th in terms of economy and population.
