Introduction of quality management system discussed in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Twenty-first meeting of “Quality Managers” Club was held within the International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange, which was held on 26-30 October 2010. The topic of the meeting was “Introduction and certification in line with ISO 9001”.

Heads and representatives of companies, working in various industries of Uzbekistan, participated at the work of the meeting.

Director of Russian-German-Uzbek joint venture SERT Management Riad Ibragimov and director of Triada Business Consulting Murad Ibragimov held presentation on introduction and certification of ISO 9001 at enterprises.

Riad Ibragimov said that quality depends from all departments and the head of enterprise. He said that the enterprises, which introduced ISO quality management system, will get several advantages.

He said that currently many enterprises require ISO certificates at purchase of products or services, or organization of tenders. Existing of ISO system also will help enterprises to attract foreign loans and investments, he added.

Riad Ibragimov underlined that some companies, including in Uzbekistan, lost their customers or lost tenders due to inexistence of the ISO system.

He said that currently over 1 million companies introduced ISO system in the world. China (210,000), Italy (150,000), Japan (73,000), Spain (65,000) and India (46,000) leads on introduction of ISO quality management system.

He said that the Government of Uzbekistan pays attention to introduction of ISO quality management system at local enterprises. The government adopted several documents directed at introduction of the system at the enterprises of the country.

Currently, 250 enterprises of Uzbekistan successfully introduced quality management system. These enterprises operate in such sectors as oil and gas, metallurgy and mining, chemical industry, railway, services, food industry and others. Riad Ibragimov added that soon the number of enterprises, which introduced ISO quality management system, will reach 1,800.

Within the meeting, the organizers handed over ISO certificates to four more enterprises of Uzbekistan. Ibragimov handed over certificates to PMS-17 and PMS-203, as well as Liteyno-Mehanicheski Zavod (Foundry-Mechanic Plant) of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) and National Plast LLC JV, producer of doors, windows and gates.

“Quality Managers” Club was founded in March 2005 under aegis of Internationally-acknowledge training company TÜV Academy (Germany) in cooperation with Sifat-Konsalting LLC and MS Consult LLC.

Currently, the club organizers are SERT MANAGEMENT and SERT AKADEMIE at assistance of leading consulting companies on ISO 9001 of Uzbekistan - MS Consult, Uzbekholding, SMS Systems, TRIADA Consulting, Sifat-Konsalting, Alfakon Systemsm Katri Vostok and International Magazine of MANAGEMENT.

The members of the club are representatives of various business structures of Uzbekistan, quality managers, heads of enterprises, both enterprises which introduced system and those interested in introduction.

Members of the club can receive information on ISO 9001 quality system. They can also discuss information on requirements of international standard and exchange experience, study new methods.
