Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, expert consultation workshops, round tables and meetings on topical issues of formation of the compulsory health insurance system in Uzbekistan were held in Tashkent on 23-25 April.

These events were organized by the Federal State Institution "Research Financial Institute" of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation together with the Institute of Budget and Tax Studies under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by leading experts from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Gosrakhnadzor, the Institute of Budget and Tax Studies under the Ministry of Finance.

A presentation on the topic “Implementation of the model of compulsory health insurance in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was made by Nikolai Avksentyev, advisor to the director of the National Research Physics Institute.

The speaker addressed the following issues in his presentation: the definition of the compulsory health insurance model; international experience of the OMS system; topical health problems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and their solutions within the framework of the OMS model In the course of discussing the topic, the participants focused on the most important problems of introducing the OMS system in Uzbekistan, which will be implemented on a phased basis.

From the Institute for Fiscal Research, the workshop was attended by: Director - Jakhongir Negmatov, First Deputy Director - Dilshod Pulatov, Principal Specialists - Zhamilya Avliyakulova, Sergey Voronin, Leading Specialist - Askar Ismailov, and Specialists - Nozima Abduvohidova, Umida Narzullaeva and others.

The workshop participants improved their skills in the field of compulsory health insurance system formation, the use of foreign experience in the functioning of the CHI system, as well as on other relevant issues.

In the afternoon, a group of experts and specialists from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Institute for Fiscal Research participated in a meeting at the Ministry of Health, which addressed the practical issues of introducing the CHI system and involving medical institutions, insurance companies and other interested entities in this process.

During the seminar, as well as after its completion, the rapporteur and experts thoroughly answered numerous questions from the participants of this event.
