According to new data, in Uzbekistan the speed of the fixed Internet has grown by 6 percent (Fixed Speed Change) and by 18 percent - the speed of the mobile Internet (Mobile Speed Change).
At the same time, on average throughout the world, the speed of the fixed Internet (Fixed Speed Change) during the COVID-19 pandemic improved by 1 percent, and the speed of mobile Internet (Mobile Speed Change) by 7 percent.
It should be noted that over the past year has been marked by a qualitative increase in the speed of the Internet in Uzbekistan. So, according to the results for April 2020, Uzbekistan in the world ranking of the speed of fixed Internet takes 94th place. Thus, Uzbekistan has shown impressive growth, having risen immediately for the year by 37 positions - from 131st place to 94th. Over the past year, the speed of fixed Internet in Uzbekistan has grown by almost 2.3 times: from 11.62 Mbit / s. in March 2019, up to 25.88 Mbps. (Download) in April 2020. And as of 1 June 2020, the speed of the fixed Internet was up to 27.12 Mbps.!
Compared to last month, the speed of mobile Internet has also increased. If, as of April 2020, the speed of the mobile Internet was 9.68 Mbit / s., Then over the month it increased to 11.92 Mbit / s.
