Internet providers were banned from using the preposition "up to" in the description of the speed in tariff plans

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Uzkomnazorat State Inspection issued an order regarding the use of the preposition “up to” in messages about Internet speed when providing tariff plans and services.

"The prescription states that from 1 June 2021, in messages about the Internet speed when providing tariff plans and services, instead of the preposition “up to”, indicate more specific information,” the message says.

Now companies providing the Internet will have to remove the “up to” prefix in their tariffs and provide a guaranteed declared speed.

Previously, they wrote "speed up to 4 MB", now this "up to" will not be used. If you pay 100 thousand soums for the Internet, you pay for the entire volume of services. If 10 megabits per second is written, then this speed should be provided,” the message noted.
