Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The International Championship of Solidarity in Weightlifting among adults started in Tashkent today. A little earlier, the opening ceremony of the competition was held, in which valuable Tokyo-2020 points are played.

The event was attended by Acting President of the International Weightlifting Federation (MTA) Ursula Garza Papandren and the AIFT leadership, Secretary General of the International Sports Federation of Solidarity Muhammad Salih Al Garnas, Minister of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of the Weightlifting Federation of Uzbekistan Botir Zokirov, President of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, First Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Ravshan Irmatov, representative sports and media.

Speakers during the event it was emphasized the importance of the championship, and wished good luck to all participants in the competition.

As part of the first day in the weight category of 49 kilograms, our representative, Ozoda Khojieva, won the fourth place. In a few minutes, the participation of Ogabek Nafasov (-61 kg) and Muattar Nabieva (-55 kg), which in their weight categories are considered the main contenders for the victory, will begin.
