Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 8th international television festival “TEFI-Sodruzhestvo” (TEFI-Commonwealth), organized by the Russian Television Academy together with the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan, will be held for the first time in Uzbekistan on 4-6 October.
The international television festival "TEFI-Sodruzhestvo" is held by the "Academy of Russian Television" Foundation among the representatives of television creativity of the CIS countries and near abroad for several years now.
The International Television Festival was founded in 2011 and is stimulated from the very beginning by the humanitarian cooperation fund of the CIS member states and the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications of Russia.
The festival is held in one of the CIS countries every year. The purpose of the festival is formation of a common information space of the Commonwealth countries. The themes of the festival are diverse, with the participation of creative teams from the CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia.
Within the framework of the “TEFI-Commonwealth”, it is planned to hold master classes and discussions on current problems of modern television and creative work. After the festival, the winners are awarded special prizes.
This year, the theme of the festival will be "Motherland’s image: time, place, fate." Among the guests of the festival are TV and film producer Oleksandr Oleinikov, journalist, TV and radio presenter Mikhail Kozhukhov, the host of the television programs of the NTV channel Sergey Mayorov and many others.
