Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage located in Samarkand in collaboration with Chinese province of Shaanxi opened joint Chinese-Central Asian laboratory for the study of human and the environment “One Belt, one road”.

In official opening ceremony of laboratory took part the rector of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, the secretary of the Communist Party of the Chinese province of Shaanxi Zhao Yide, representatives of the Khokimiyat of the Samarkand region, and representatives of the mass media.

This major scientific project is organized in the Samarkand campus of the International Academy of Tourism under the auspices of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) at the initiative of the Northwest University of the Republic of China. The laboratory consist of two parts, specializing in the study of animal bones and biochemical researches on them. In this laboratory will be opportunity to research any materials of archaeological excavations, which found ii territory of Uzbekistan.  For construction of joint laboratory 395 square meters of area were allocated on the 8th floor of the International Academy of Tourism.

Today, Northwest University of China purchased and brought to the university only 90 units of laboratory equipment and 36 types of special equipment for the amount of 1 billion 587 million sums. In the near future it is planned to start work on the equipment. In order to coordinate the construction of the laboratory according to special standards and control the implementation of work on equipment, 2 specialists from Northwest University are involved in the construction of the laboratory.
