International investment forum “Invest in Khorezm” starts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The International Investment Forum “Invest in Khorezm” started today in Urgench, Khorezm region.

It is organized by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade and khokimiyat of Khorezm region.

The purpose of the event is to familiarize the international business community, representatives of international organizations and potential investors with the socio-economic development of the region, as well as the favorable conditions and preferences created for foreign investors.

During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, Khorezm Governor of the Khorezm Region Farhod Ermanov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Adham Ikramov, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovska, Head of the EBRD Representative Office in Uzbekistan Alkis Drakinos, as well as foreign investors who are already implementing large-scale projects in Khorezm region, made speeches.

The forum also aims to promote domestic and foreign entrepreneurs in establishing strong business mutually beneficial relations in the field of attracting investment, developing interregional trade and industrial cooperation, as well as finding promising forms of cooperation in the exchange of tourists.

This platform promises to be extremely effective for establishing and developing partnerships between the business community of Uzbekistan and foreign countries, as well as the achievement of mutually beneficial contracts and agreements aimed at enhancing investment activities and intensifying regional development.

The two-day program of the forum envisages a cooperation exchange, an exhibition of domestic products and a presentation of the tourism potential of the region.
