Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the Joint Uzbek-Turkish Commission on International Road Transport was held in Istanbul.

Issues related to the current state and development of international road transport were discussed at the meeting. The parties separately noted the increase in recent years in the volume of trade and road transport between the two countries.

In this regard, based on the global changes observed today in trade processes, the parties agreed to continue cooperation to create the most favorable conditions for international road transport, taking into account the development of the middle corridor.

In particular, quotas have been established for the exchange of permit forms for cargo transportation. Also, in order to speed up the process of transporting goods between countries, an agreement was reached on a gradual full transition to an electronic system for the exchange of permit forms (E-permit).
