International business forum kicks off in Jizzakh with over 200 foreign investors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23–24 April, Zaamin district of Jizzakh region is hosting the international business forum “Jizzakh – 2025,” according to the Dunyo news agency.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Jizzakh regional administration.
Over 200 business leaders from more than 30 partner countries have been invited to the forum. Invitations were extended via Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad. Active participation from members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tashkent is also expected.
It is worth noting that thanks to Uzbekistan’s open and consistent investment policy, the country’s economy continues to show strong growth. In 2024, GDP grew by 6.5%, reaching US$115 billion.
Foreign investment inflows increased 1.6 times to nearly US$35 billion. A total of 242 large and medium-sized projects worth US$10 billion were implemented, while exports reached a record US$27 billion.
During the forum, foreign guests will be presented with the investment, trade-economic, and tourism potential of the Jizzakh region.
The business forum is expected to serve as a platform to showcase the region’s competitive advantages — from vast raw material reserves and developed logistics infrastructure to rich natural resources, a growing tourism sector, and a highly qualified workforce.
The forum aims to further strengthen the region’s investment and trade ties with international partners and to open new avenues for cooperation and business opportunities.
