Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 April, under the leadership of Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, an inter-ministerial meeting was held on preparations for the next meeting of the Uzbek-Italian Intergovernmental Commission in May 2019.

The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the State Committee for Tourism, Uzbekneftegaz, Uzavtosanoat, Uzpromstroymaterialy Association and other sectoral departments, agencies, state and commercial banks, who provided information on agreements to be signed with Italian partners.

During the meeting, the Minister noted the need to focus on the study of prospects and the full use of potential for the creation of joint ventures to localize products with high added value and increasing the supply of marketable goods based on an analysis of the specifics of the Italian economy.

Following the discussion, the meeting participants received instructions for further work with Italian partners; monitoring of progress in this direction was proposed to be monitored at the next interdepartmental meeting on this issue until the end of this month.
