Inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia develops

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Sodik Safaev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan, met with a delegation chaired by Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarba, Chairman of the Saudi-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting discussed current issues regarding the further strengthening of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. Special attention was given to enhancing trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and inter-parliamentary exchanges across various spheres.

The partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia not only contributes to strengthening bilateral ties but also supports regional stability and development. Both sides highlighted the expansion of cooperation in recent years.

Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarba praised the work of Uzbekistan's parliamentary institutions and expressed readiness to continue deepening cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. He emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary relations for fostering political dialogue, as well as for cooperation in economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields.

Discussions also covered the gradual development of relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia within international organizations such as the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

In conclusion, the parties reached an agreement on further expanding bilateral relations, including deepening inter-parliamentary ties.
