Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The sum of insurance coverage in Uzbekistan as a whole in 2019 was 690.46 trillion soums, which is 15.6%, or 93.01 trillion soums more compared to 2018. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The number of concluded agreements reached 7,401,287 units, which, compared to 2018, grew by 12.0%.

Voluntary insurance accounts for 68.0% (469.25 trillion soums), compulsory insurance - 32.0% (221.21 trillion soums).

The receipt of insurance premiums in 2019 made up 2.13 trillion. soums, of which 1.83 trillion soums were voluntary insurance products (85.7% of the total), 306.7 billion soums (14.3%) - compulsory insurance products.

The size of insurance payments reached 808.6 billion soums, of which 719.54 billion soums on voluntary insurance and 89.02 billion soums on compulsory insurance.

It should be noted that the number of insurance organizations amounted to 40 units in 2019.
