Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Insurance companies in Uzbekistan increased the volume of collected insurance premiums by 1.87 times to 817.6 billion soums in the first half of 2018.

According to the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, the volume of insurance payments of companies amounted to 177.13 billion soums in the first half of 2018, which is 27.3% higher compared to the same period in 2017.

In the first half of the year, Uzagrosugurta collected premiums for 115 billion soums (growth of 43.8%), Uzbekinvest - 112.68 billion soums (growth - 2.73 times) and Gross Insurance - 78, 53 billion soums (growth - 2.44 times).

Leaders in terms of insurance payments were O’zbekinvest Hayot (34.2 billion soums), New Life Insurance - 32.74 billion soums and Agros Hayot - 22.75 billion soums.
