Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Presidential resolution “On Measures for Further Improvement of the National Qualifications System of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been adopted.
According to the resolution, the main areas of reforming the National Qualifications System include:
- Enhancing the legal, institutional, and methodological frameworks of the National Qualifications System;
- Introducing a system for recognizing informally and non-formally acquired skills and qualifications ("Recognition of Prior Learning");
- Developing and implementing tools and methodologies for skill forecasting ("skills anticipation"), skill needs analysis, and skill gap analysis.
An Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System will be established under the Project Office "Center for Educational Projects."
By 1 February 2025, the institute will offer advanced training courses on the development of the National Qualifications System.
A unified digital platform for the National Qualifications System will be developed and implemented by 1 November 2025.
By 1 December 2026, professional standards for 1,800 professions will be developed and implemented, based on best international practices.
