Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UAE, a video meeting was held with Beeah Group, a leading company in the UAE and the Middle East.

Taking into account the Beeah Group’s best practices in implementing the Zero Waste model, Minister of Natural Resources Aziz Abdukhakimov and Beeah Group CEO Khaled Al Khuraimel discussed the possibility of applying this approach in Uzbekistan, as well as introducing digital solutions in integrated waste management.

For information, the concept of Zero waste represents the maximization of waste-free recycling, the minimization of waste and the prevention of environmental pollution.

In the person of the General Director, Mr. Khaled Al Khuraimel, Beeah expressed interest in the Uzbek market and readiness to develop joint solutions to create a sustainable integrated waste management system in the country.

The meeting also discussed the possibilities of transforming landfills into modern and environmentally friendly landfills.

The ministry expressed interest in establishing cooperation on key issues in Uzbekistan, including the processing of car tires, batteries, and biological waste into energy.
