Initial steps of young specialists on music management
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A two-day seminar session called “Continuing the traditions… ” that was arranged by Husniddin Atoev as a culture manager has come to an end yesterday on 25 November.

The event was arranged as part of the project “The center of competence for managers in the field of culture in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Southern Caucasus”, project initiatives “Culture and development” of Goethe Institute and lasted two days, 24-25 November.

10 selected participants from the regions of Uzbekistan (Bukhara, Khorezm, Fergana, Tashkent city and Karakalpakstan) gained knowledge on music management overview, exploring music in a globalised world, concept of concert, creative industries and ways of contracting music, Media and PR for musicians and festivals.

Participants worked on groups to make contracts, to choose the band type, appropriate venue and program for the concert. The second day was much more focused on practical part and they created their own music bands, chose the places to hold the concert, created and signed contracts with the promoters, and performed it during the farewell dinner on stage.

Besides, lecture sessions are arranged as part of the project. The first lecture took place in Tashkent on 23 November at Goethe Institute. Next lectures will be held on 26 November in Samarkand (14:00) and on 28 November in Bukhara (11:00).

Samarkand Arts College and Bukhara Arts College are the venues for the coming lectures. Like in the previous lecture and seminar sessions the director of German organization “alba KULTUR”, Birgit Ellinghaus will be sharing her 35-year experience knowledge on music management with young musicians, artists, students and anyone who may get interested on music management.
