Industrial Output in Uzbekistan’s Special Economic Zones Rises 42.7% Over Nine Months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 October 2025, Uzbekistan operates 31 Special Economic Zones (SEZs), 417 Small Industrial Zones (SIZs), 32 technoparks, and 353 industrial clusters.
Within these structures, there are 1,070 enterprises in SEZs, 3,199 in SIZs, 3,381 in technoparks, and 383 in clusters.
Industrial output in SEZs for January–September 2025 reached 45,151.8 billion soums, marking a 42.7% increase compared to the same period last year. In SIZs, production amounted to 13,402.5 billion soums, in technoparks — 1,695.9 billion soums, and in clusters — 23,918.4 billion soums. For comparison, January–September 2024 figures were 31,639.1 billion soums for SEZs, 10,785.5 billion soums for SIZs, and 1,167.4 billion soums for technoparks.
Self-performed construction works during the reporting period amounted to 98.7 billion soums in SEZs, 473.9 billion soums in SIZs, 950.6 billion soums in technoparks, and 16.3 billion soums in clusters, with the largest growth registered in technoparks, where construction activity doubled compared to the previous year.
Investments in fixed capital from all funding sources totaled 12,176.3 billion soums in SEZs, 990.9 billion soums in SIZs, 567.8 billion soums in technoparks, and 3,012.2 billion soums in clusters.
Profit before income tax for the period amounted to 2,899.2 billion soums in SEZs, 399.7 billion soums in SIZs, 5,772.0 billion soums in technoparks, and 68.0 billion soums in clusters. By comparison, in January–September 2024, profits were 1,402.2 billion soums in SEZs, 314.7 billion soums in SIZs, 3,429.6 billion soums in technoparks, while clusters recorded a loss of 426.0 billion soums.
As of 1 October 2025, accounts receivable totaled 22,500.8 billion soums in SEZs, 2,591.8 billion soums in SIZs, 4,640.6 billion soums in technoparks, and 4,820.2 billion soums in clusters. Accounts payable during the same period amounted to 29,156.2 billion soums in SEZs, 3,246.0 billion soums in SIZs, 5,036.7 billion soums in technoparks, and 6,511.1 billion soums in clusters.
Participants of IT parks exported services worth US$480.9 million in January–September 2025, up by US$180.8 million compared to the same period in 2024, while imports of services amounted to US$166.4 million. The volume of market services provided by IT parks reached 21,870.1 billion soums, an increase of 8,867.2 billion soums compared to last year.
Investments by IT park participants in fixed capital totaled 369.8 billion soums, exceeding the January–September 2024 figure by 144.1 billion soums.
