Economy 27/10/2008 Industrial Fair opens in Tashkent, Iran province participates
National Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange
Tashkent (UzDaily.com) -- Iran’s Markazi Province has set up an international fair in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to showcase its industrial and non-industrial products, IRNA reported.

The exhibition, opened on Saturday in a ceremony in presence of Uzbek economic authorities, has put on show different kinds of industrial and farming machinery, metal pipes, the glass and china wares, disposable utensils, shoes and bags, the report said.

Iran’s ambassador to Uzbekistan Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh told the inaugural session that the fair is hoped to boost volume of trade between Iran and Uzbekistan in general and between Markazi Province and Tashkent in particular, the agency concluded.

The exhibition is part of the National Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange, which opened on 27 October at Tashkent’s UzExpoCenter.

The leading sectors of the economy and small business enterprises of Uzbekistan present their products, including traditional and new ones, as well as prospective products for 2009 at the exhibition, which last till 1 November.

Presentations of industrial and scientific and technical potential of the local enterprises will be held in the framework of the fair and exchange.

The participants of the forum will be able to familiarize themselves with the new products, choose suppliers of raw materials and parts, as well as sign contracts for their delivery in the coming year.

It is expected that Iranian and Uzbek businesses will hold cooperation exchange within the fair.
