Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 30 August 2022 “On measures to introduce the Mobile-ID identification system for individuals in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.
The document approved the Regulations providing for the procedure for identification, use and termination of identification in the Mobil-ID system.
Here are its main rules:
identification using the Mobile-ID system is carried out at the request of citizens by public service centers or notary offices (by photographing a citizen's face in digital format and taking fingerprints in electronic form) or through the my.gov.uz mobile application (by remote biometric identification (Face-ID) or electronic digital signature in the ID-card;
Until 31 December 2022, the identification of citizens directly by the Centers or notary offices using the Mobile-ID system is free of charge, and from 1 January 2023 - with a one-time fee of 2% of the basic estimated value. Identification through the my.gov.uz mobile application is free of charge;
Mobile-ID system users can use all public services (except for financial ones) without using an electronic digital signature.
When identifying a person through the my.gov.uz mobile application, it is necessary that the mobile phone number be registered specifically for this person. And if you contact the public services center or a notary for the identification procedure, you can bind any phone number.
