Incubation Center for the development of IT projects among students opens at UWED

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Incubation Center for the development of IT projects among students opened at University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

The rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) Sodiq Safoev, the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov, the director of IT Park Farhod Ibragimov, as well as responsible representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary education, rectors of universities, heads of leading private companies, media representatives, IT Park specialists, teachers and students of UWED attended the event.

It is noted that the active development of digital technologies today is the main trend all over the world. More and more countries are realizing the importance of these changes and are paying special attention to this area: they are adopting national digital development strategies aimed at the comprehensive digitalization of state, social, educational and other processes.

The incubation center, located on an area of 120 sq. m., is equipped with all the necessary conditions for effective work on innovative projects. The ongoing incubation programs will include 8 modules. Among them are the study of project opportunities, market and product analysis, business modeling, marketing promotion and others.

These modules will be held with the participation of invited speakers from various business sectors in the co-working spaces of the Incubation Center, which will allow students to develop their project in a productive and detailed way. By the end of the incubation program, students will have a confirmed idea, an assembled team and an MVP ready.

Along with the training in each module, students will be given an expert session with a coordinator to work on bugs and improve the product. These modules will be held with the participation of speakers from different business sectors.

It was emphasized that in the future the Incubation Center plans to provide consulting services, organize competitions, seminars, master classes and meetings with entrepreneurs.

As part of the opening of the new Incubation Center, it is also planned to sign an Agreement between IT Park and UWED, present start-up projects and a thematic seminar for young entrepreneurs.
