Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzcharmsanoat Association held a meeting with an investor from Turkey, the founder of Balta Deri Sanayi Erdem Balta.

Balta Deri Sanayi is an enterprise located in Gaziantep, Turkey, producing Nappa leather and lining leather. The management of the company, along with other areas of cooperation, is interested in finding partners in Uzbekistan to arrange supplies to the leather factory of the I and II processing stages, that is, wet blue and karst leather.

During the meeting, the Turkish businessman was provided with full information about the current state of the leather and footwear industry in Uzbekistan, the Resolutions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers adopted in recent years, which envisage a number of benefits and preferences for industry enterprises. In particular, they talked about tax and customs breaks and allocated credit lines created throughout the country by specialized small industrial zones. All these opportunities increase the investment attractiveness of the country and inspire foreign investors to invest in Uzbekistan.

Also, the guest of the Association, Erdem Balta, having learned about the business climate in our country, is now thinking about new areas of cooperation. At the meeting, they also talked about increasing exports from Uzbekistan to Turkey of semi-finished leather products and finished products with high added value, and about opening an Uzbek-Turkish joint venture in our country, and much more.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed that at the first stage, cooperation will cover the scope of export deliveries of products to a Turkish enterprise. Thus, in order to find a counter-partner, in late November-early December, the investor will be organized a business tour of enterprises in the industry of Uzbekistan.
