Income of Uzbektelecom from services makes up 4.518 bn soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Income of Uzbektelecom joint stock company from rendering of services in 2011 made up 4.518 billion sums, which grew by 26% compared to 2010. This was announced at the session of the Supervisory Council of the company.
Uzbektelecom said that active marketing strategy of the company allowed to increase income from rendering all types of services and additional services (VAS) by 26% to 4.518 billion soums in 2011.
In 2011, the plan of income from general economic activity was fulfilled with 1% surplus, while the figure grew by 46% year-on-year.
Income from services rendered to population of Uzbekistan increased by 15% year-on-year in the reporting period.
The company said that total number of broadband internet uses on xDSL and FTTx technologies made up 72,586 at the end of 2011, or grew by 181%.
Uzbectelecom said that it constructed 1,174 km of optic-fiber communication lines in 2011.
The capacity of international internet channel rose four times and reached 10 Gbps, the company stated.
