Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Deputy Minister of Energy Sherzod Khodjaev announced a reduction in gasoline prices due to the temporary abolition of excise tax.

The abolition of the excise tax on AI-80 gasoline should lead to a decrease in the cost of fuel at gas stations by 1000-1200 soums. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Energy Sherzod Khodjaev.

“Today, the cost of AI-80 gasoline is expected to decrease to 5,500 soums. It is also worth noting that gas stations should sell gasoline for 5% more than the initial price on the exchange, in this regard, in the coming days we will be able to see gasoline at 5,500 soums at gas stations,” Khodjaev said.

When converted to a liter, the exchange price for AI-80 gasoline averaged 5,262.0 soums per liter, the UZEX said.
