Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 29 to 30 March 2022, the International Mediterranean Tourism Market IMTM-2022 is being held in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The participation of our compatriots in this fair was organized by the National PR Center State Unitary Enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and Uzbekistan Airways JSC. For information: The International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) is a professional exhibition for the Israeli tourism industry, as well as the most important and largest tourism fair in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Within the framework of the exhibition, together with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the State of Israel, a B2B meeting was held between Uzbek and Israeli travel companies. During the meeting, travel companies of Uzbekistan presented completely new tourist destinations for Israelis in the cities of our country and discussed issues related to the development of relations between countries in travel planning.
In particular, reports were presented revealing the tourism opportunities of Kashkadarya, Ferghana, Tashkent and Samarkand regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, about pilgrimage sites to shrines that have close ties with Jewish culture, about public catering facilities and accommodation facilities offering kosher food, as well as about travel opportunities to Uzbekistan related to ethnographic, gastronomic, ethnic and ecological types of tourism.
During the negotiations, it was announced the resumption of air traffic between our countries, in particular, the launch of new direct flights of Uzbekistan Airways to Israel up to 4 times a week.
