Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Experts from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Research (IMRI) in October 2023 conducted regular monitoring of prices for food products for 21 items in the largest supermarket chains in Tashkent.

The monitoring results showed that for 8 items the minimum prices decreased compared to the previous month*. Thus, the decrease in prices for white cabbage amounted to 61.5%, apples - 15.4%, yellow onions - 10.3%, pasta - 4.7%, beef (fillet) - 4.6%, vegetable oil - 3.1 %, lemon – 1.6%, cucumber – 1.3%.

Minimum prices for rice, sugar and margarine remained unchanged.

Prices have increased for 10 items. Tomato is the leader in price growth. Its minimum price increased from 5950 to 9990 soums. Prices for bananas and milk also showed a significant increase: their price increased by 3,000 and 2,110 soums, respectively.
