Improvement of passenger service discussed in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Management of Uzbektourism national company, airports of Uzbekistan and tourism enterprises held meeting at Uzbekistan Hotel in Tashkent.

Aviation transport is popular among tourists. Advantages of aviation are speed, comfort and security. It is better to travel from Tashkent city to Urgench and Khiva, Nukus and Termez with airplane. So, the high quality of services at international airports is important and it is part of tourism industry. Tourists started to familiarize with the country from the airports and they form first impressions about country at airports.

These and other issues were main topics at the meeting, dedicated to interaction of tourism enterprises with airports of Uzbekistan, representatives of tourism and aviation sectors. It was noted that improvement of service at airports is important factor for increasing passenger flow.

During the event, the participants discussed issues of increasing service level and creation of effective service system, meeting requirements of passengers, including tourists.

Main attention was directed to work of Tashkent International Airport. The participants also discussed opportunities on decreasing time for custom inspection at airport and luggage processing. The sides offered to improve conditions for serving people with disabilities and elder persons, organize tours for passengers of transit flights, etc.

Deputy-director of Tashkent Airport on passenger transportation and tourism Ravshan Tulyaganov said the management of airport is actively working on service improvement and determined actual tasks. He said that the registration posts are operating and luggage trolleys were purchased. The staff undergoes trainings to develop their hospitability skills.

Currently, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari has 11 airports, of which six – Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Termez and Navoi – have international status.

The cooperation of aviation and tourism sector is developing actively. Uzbekistan Havo Yollari created a tourism department. They also organize various information tours for foreign tour operators and mass media, as well as participate in various tourism fairs.
