Imported mobile handsets should be marked in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan included mobile handsets to the list of goods, which should undergo mandatory marking at importing.

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On implementation of measures on improving import of separate group of consumer goods into Uzbekistan”. The document updated list of consumer goods, which should undergo mandatory marking with special control identification signs at importing.

According to the resolution, phones for mobile and other wireless communication networks should be marked at importing them into territory of Uzbekistan.

The list also includes gas-stove, air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, printers, copy machines, faxes, washing machines, vacuum cleaner, DVD-players, musical center, TV-sets, air-conditioners, dish washing machines, monitors, vacuum cleaners, etc.

The consumer goods, which were included to the list, can be sold without special identification signs within 180 days starting from inclusion of these goods to the list.

Uzbekistan introduced mandatory marking with special control identification mark of a group of imported groups before distributing them to free turnover from 1 January 2012. Sales of consumer goods without identification signs is considered as violation of trade rules and realization of goods without documents.
